Tulsi Devi, a 32-year-old Vanraji woman from Banraji Basti in Chakkarpur, Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand), has emerged as a powerful community leader.

Chanchala Devi is a 53-year-old single Raji woman from Kulekh village in Pithoragarh district. She raised the issue of illegal liquor sales in her village during a women’s collective meeting.

Govindi Devi, a 27-year-old Raji woman from the remote village of Ganagaon in Pithoragarh district, has emerged as a shining example of resilience, leadership, and community mobilisation.

Kavita Devi, a 26-year-old woman farmer from Kimkhola village in Dharchula block, Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand, has transformed into a strong community leader.

In the remote mountainous belt of Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district, two Raji villages – Kimkhola and Bhaktirwa – have demonstrated how collective action and determined leadership can turn promises into reality.

Since 2022, women of the Raji community have been actively engaging with government officials to secure essential services for their villages.
