Knowledge Collaborations
Empirical and field research play a pivotal role in our program design and strategy development, strengthening our advocacy, campaigns, and policy work. Over the years, we have collaborated with organisations such as ActionAid, UN Women, GB Pant Agriculture University, IIM Kashipur, IIT Roorkee, Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung (RLS), and Pluriversal Research and Action (PRA) to design and implement impactful and participatory research initiatives.
Our commitment to knowledge generation supports both development and social justice causes. We have also partnered with and hosted Indian and international university students on their PhD research projects, fostering academic collaboration and applied research.
ARPAN actively contributes to practice and policy-level change through knowledge exchange and participation in national and international forums. By engaging with government institutions, civil society, and academia, the organisation shares grassroots insights to influence dialogue on social justice, gender equality, and governance. Key engagements include delivering lectures at a government academy for bureaucrats, conducting POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) trainings for various agencies, facilitating Forest Rights Act (FRA) trainings, and presenting research and field experiences at Azim Premji University, and raising critical issues concerning marginalised women, tribal, and other communities on various platforms.
