Knowledge Management

Empirical research and field research plays a pivotal role in ARPAN’s program design and strategy development. It has strengthened our advocacy, campaign efforts, and policy work. Over the past five years, we have collaborated with organisations like ActionAid, UN Women, and GB Pant Agriculture University, to design and implement impactful research initiatives.

Our commitment to knowledge generation supports development and social justice causes, and we have partnered with university students, both from India and abroad, on their PhD research projects.

Our work involves:

  • Conducting surveys, fact-finding studies, evaluation studies (baseline, mid-term, and end-line) using scientific research methodologies to design and assess our programmes
  • Collaborating with academic institutions to advance research in the social sector and inform social policy
  • Hosting and mentoring researchers, including faculty members and Ph.D. scholars, from various universities
  • Utilising research findings to inform and enhance our programmatic and policy work
